get off your high horse and into the world

okay so there's this quote from style.com about marc jacob's spring collection:

"The girls carried big woven bags on long straps, some with foot-long fringe, and a fanny pack made an unlikely appearance, too. That's what's so genius about Jacobs. He can take the most uncool accessory, spin it around, and give it instant fashion cred."

okay, NICOLE PHELPS, whoever you are, do you have eyes? do you know what street fashion is? have you ever even heard of hipsters? hipsters have been rocking fanny packs "ironically" for at least three years now, and in case you're brain dead, which i guess you must be, about every designer that has young people in mind has been heavily influenced by hipsters since at least all of 2009.

maybe that's just my personal opinion, but i'm pretty sure that it's historically documented thanks to the cobra snake that fanny packs have been considered cool by a lot of people for quite some time.

i have to say it's really arrogant to think that now that it's been re-designed by marc jacobs and now it's a luxury fanny pack that suddenly it's cool. out of no where. because MARC JACOBS did it. you're not fooling anyone under the age of 30. probably not karl lagerfeld either.
