SUN! FINALLY!

i am really ready for wedges and sun dresses! that may be a bit premature, but at least i finally don't have to wear pants every day. for those of you who don't know, i kind of HATE pants.

for my own personal style, i really have no interest in androgyny. it definitely works for some people? but for me i look way too much like a little boy. so instead i go for girly without being too sugary.

i've taken to watching the uk teen drama Skins. and i am moderately obsessed. i'd heard of the show before but lately i've been watching it on netflix. gossip girl has got NOTHING on this show.

i found the ultimate spring wardrobe inspiration in resident crazy chick, cassie ainsworth. all of her outfits pack of lot of whimsy, and i think there's something about her that karl lagerfeld would definitely approve of. there aren't a ton of pictures of her around on the internet, but here are a few that show what makes her style so adorable.

fashion week!

as fall draws near (for me at least, it's been in the high 50s low 60s here), fashion week hits! i've hardly processed my favorite looks for the cooler weather and now we're being bombarded by information that we won't actually be able to put into effect in our own wardrobes for months!

not that i'm complaining...

anyway i'll go through some of my favorites as they come through (i'm already falling behind, so overwhelmingg!!)

but so far from what i've seen it's lots of draping (yay!), a fair amount of sheen (yay!), and no one is really ready to give up on the gladiator sandal concept (yay!) although they are being taken to a much more feminine, less metallic level. it also looks like studs and zippers are here to stay for a while too. this is a trend i'm a little bit more apathetic about. i'm not a huge fan of the whole motorcycle culture inspired pieces when not used in moderation, but i have to say that small studs can make a really big statement.
