i really love neutrals, and i love the nude-for-night trend. emma watson, of course, rocked one of the most perfect little dresses i have ever seen. the head to toe look is pitch perfect. does this girl ever look bad?

it's knee sock season!

pretty much my favorite time of the year is when it starts to cool down enough to add hosiery to my outfits when im getting ready. last night was the first time i got to wear over the knee socks, and i was still a little chilly, so tights here i come!

i sat outside all day today, and while i was flipping through my most recent copy of ELLE, i saw this incredible shoot by richard bush. the styling, done by sarah richardson, embodies the essence of easy-summer-chic. the military inspired shoot is beautiful and natural, without sparing any youthful edge.

memories

i was, as usual, REALLY looking forward to this month's ELLE magazine showing up in my mailbox... only to find that meth addict fergie on the cover. she peed her pants on stage!! how on earth does that woman still have a career that doesn't involve the phrase "would you like fries with that?"

BUT!

ELLE redeemed herself (as she is known to do) with this unbelievable spread shot in ny's natural history museum. obviously i love it because it's epic and incredible, but also because of the very fond memories i have of the museum. i went there with one of my dearest friends when i was visiting her in new york two winters ago, and let's just say we had an outrageous time.
