look out for this one

obviously lily cole is a force to be reckoned with in the fashion industry, but with The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (heath ledger's final film) and a list of several other film projects, i am really looking forward to her acting career.

if her acting ability is even a quarter as diverse as her skill as a model, she certainly has a bright future. i am really excited about her future projects such as Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll.

i always find her terribly captivating... when my boyfriend saw a picture of her he said "how old is that girl, like eight?" haha, i guess i just have a thing for all the doll face models

RAGE

the movie Rage, written and directed by Sally Potter was a big deal in the fashion world over the summer. originally released as a series of shorts, the premise is interesting. A young kid interviews a series of important fashion people on his cell phone before a fashion house's big show, tragedy strikes, leaving the interviewer in the middle of a series of catastrophic events.

a TON of great people are in this movie. judi dench, steve buscemi, eddie izzard are just a few of the highlights of this film that is literally focused only on the characters. the majority of the movie is filmed with multiple brightly colored backgrounds, with no scenery and no visuals of any actual events. just interviews. and jude law in drag.

though the story line requires watchers to suspend disbelief somewhat, it has some amazing acting that covers many different concerns, not just the ruthlessness of the fashion industry.

i loved it, but then i also love ensemble films. excellent stuff, you can watch it instantly on netflix or check it out HERE!

someone once said "Hollywood's bad girls are seldom fashion victims."

With that in mind, along with my sick day of movie watching yesterday, my latest inspiration is the classic bad girl. she may be troubled, twisted, manipulative, or just a crook, but she is never out of style.
