lots to lust over
now that i finally have a minute to start looking through the looks from ny fashion week, so far i am loving peter som the most. a lot of the other collections have been really big on whites and soft neutrals, which is great, but i lose interest after a while if there's no color involved. those charlotte olympia shoes are UNREAL! i kind of have a ton of favorites...

hey guys, here it is
okay i know i said a while ago that i was going to start trying to get into menswear, but i have definitely been putting it off. but it was part of my new years resolution, so i'm going to stick to it.
with some encouragement from my dear, lifelong friend kirby marzec, i finally started investigating!
let me preface this by saying a few things:
- for some reason male models crack me up, not sure why i just think they are kind of hilarious
- i have a very clean, classic aesthetic when it comes to men... i usually just like what i would want to see my boyfriend in
- this is all very new to me, but hopefully it will be a fun new venture!
i decided to start with paul smith, mainly because it was on the main page of GQ.com. i figured that would be a safe place to start. so check out my favorite looks from paul smith menswear collection for fall 2010!

pre-fall 2010
in general, i'm not the biggest fan of "pre-fall." it seems a little bit bogus to me, and so far, what i've seen is a little bit less than inspired. it sort of just seems to me like a high schooler with a hangover from spring trying to go to a grown up party. regardless, i found a couple looks i found intriguing.
nina ricci

emilio pucci

celine

but the collection that really got me was one of my standby favorites, dkny. classic american with "a bit of novelty," it definitely it the classic-cool chic that my personal style thrives on.
