boho
one thing i am really loving lately is the looks inspired by a sort of 70s resurgence. this continues to surprise me because i don't really have a very boho aesthetic normally, but lately i can't help but love it. maybe it's the hats...

navy lady
navy has actually been one of my favorite colors this season. it's not a good color to wear in warmer weather, for sure. i don't have much of it since it doesn't always go with black and grey which are the two colors that DOMINATE my fall wardrobe. either way, i love the neutral blues here! plus, a killer hat is always a bonus.

inspiration
the most recent post currently up on the sartorialist is one i find particularly inspiring. (and trust me, after being sick in bed since tuesday, some inspiration was much MUCH needed)

"So what is more important, fashion or style?
I attended a few fashion shows today and I have seen some very "fashionable" young ladies. But, they always come up short when compared to the young ladies doing their own thing.
I know what this season's trends are suppose to be and this young lady doesn't really fit into any of those forecasts and yet she really stood out from all the other pretty young things."
the truth of the matter is, i fell for fashion because it helped me express myself as an individual, tell my own story. it is so easy to get bogged down by trends, seasons, labels, but all of that is pretty much bullshit if you aren't dressing how you genuinely want to.

denim on denim!
i'm not exactly the biggest fan of the denim on denim trend. where i come from, we call that a canadian tuxedo. BUT in this photo taken by the sartorialist in barcalona, denim on denim has never looked more chic!

the latest batch of photos from the sartorialist make japanese flea markets look like heaven on earth. i mean of course i am already predisposed to obsess over them them, considering the fact that i love all things japanese, and have an unnatural ferver for flea markets...
