taylor

i love this prim button-up/geeky sweater combo, ESPECIALLY with the leather. taylor tomasi hill is definitely a favorite of mine style wise. she always looks beautiful and unique without looking silly or costumey. pure genius!

girly trench!

this look is absolute perfection! i have been dying for a trench coat, but have yet to find one that is both feminine and short enough for my tiny frame. i think i've found it! literally, this is my dream trench coat. and these shoes kick ass too.

bitchin

i really love this 80s-meets-futuristic look! very blade runner. which i must say, blade runner is one of the top 5 most inspirational movies for me style wise lately hahaha. the best part of this look is how it plays with masculine and feminine-the strong shoulders, high heels, cropped hair and elbow length gloves. truly innovative!

b&w

this look is incredible! it's the perfect mix of retro and modern. i'm willing to over look the open toe booties because the whole look is effortlessly chic.

romantic

i adore this look! i adore neutrals, and the splash of red is so refreshing. a smile is a great accessory too. in so many street fashion photos people think they are just too cool to smile. that is just untrue!

oversized/festive

so many amazing things about this look! 1) amazing, furry hat 2) beautiful tribal inspired oversized print sweater 3) sky high heels 4) black maxi skirt

really, just effortless perfection. and i bet it's warm!

cold

now that im back up north for a few days, im gonna have to bundle up even more (is that possible? pgh as been freezing). i packed way too much, but mostly because all of my winter clothes are so massive! oversized clothes are the best this time of year.

naughty or nice?

i love this good girl meets bad girl outfit. as a petite woman i always have the inclination to dress really youthful, and yea it suits me, but i definitely have to work to off-set the fact that i can easily look a little bit like a child. et voila! this woman pulls it off effortlessly

zana

zana roberts rassi, senior fashion editor at u.s. marie claire, looks amazing as she effortlessly pulls off the menswear inspired trend. i love the grunge-lux edge the pants give the entire look!

taylor

taylor tomasi hill, style&accessories director for marie claire us, always looks so unbelievable. every last detail is perfection. how do i get my hands on that skirt? or all of it?

boho

one thing i am really loving lately is the looks inspired by a sort of 70s resurgence. this continues to surprise me because i don't really have a very boho aesthetic normally, but lately i can't help but love it. maybe it's the hats...

here's a great video from style.com with my style soul mate alexa chung, thrifting and talking about deciding whether or not people on the street in williamsburg are or are not in mgmt

navy lady

navy has actually been one of my favorite colors this season. it's not a good color to wear in warmer weather, for sure. i don't have much of it since it doesn't always go with black and grey which are the two colors that DOMINATE my fall wardrobe. either way, i love the neutral blues here! plus, a killer hat is always a bonus.

i wish all fashion had this level of whimsy. imagine how different the world would look if everyone dressed like this!

hermes

so when i heard hermes was launching a "street fashion" website i didn't really consider hermes and street fashion to make the most sense together. but now that ive finally gotten around to looking through and watching some of the videos, i have really been inspired by this site! probably because i am going through a very serious scarf phase (i recently got a TON of my grandma's old silk scarves, and trust me they have really transformed many average outfits)

check out the site: j'aime mon carré!!
