i love this prim button-up/geeky sweater combo, ESPECIALLY with the leather. taylor tomasi hill is definitely a favorite of mine style wise. she always looks beautiful and unique without looking silly or costumey. pure genius!

lanvin + h+m

i know everybody is in a tizzy over the collection lanvin did for h&m, but that does not include me. i thought the show was a bit... dare i say, gauche? i would use the yiddish word ungapatchkit (meaning like, just TOO much, tacky, over the top) to describe the show and the looks. i thought it was really unfocused.

i'm not the biggest fan of designer duds for fast fashion retailers, the quality is always disappointing.

one beauty look did inspire me though, it reinforces my urge to rock my red wig... nicki minaj meets sidney bristow

im pretty sure alaia was the first "really important designer" i ever new about, thanks to clueless. it's nice to know that cher horowitz had such timeless, ladylike taste, worthy of my years of adoration. this alaia dress is unbearably lovely, flattering and definitely something i could see a more grown up cher wearing!
